Craft Room Inspiration - Maria Elena

Good Morning everyone,

I am SO excited to share with you such an inspirational craft room. I came across this wonderful room on Pinterest and this lead me to a really exciting blog, Our Home Away From Home by Maria Elena. I am delighted to say that Maria Elena has allowed me to share her wonderful room with all of you - and what a room it is!!

Maria explains on her blog that the inspiration for her room came from a photo she had seen on Pottery Barn.

I am not surprised that this was such a source of inspiration - it is gorgeous isn't it. Maria set about creating a similarly gorgeous room for herself (with a little help from her husband.)

Here are the before pictures of her room -

What I ADORE about the process of creating the new craft room, is that aside from a few items, everything else was built from scratch or was upcycled.

Look at how the shelves are transformed -

And this unit -

This gorgeous crate had wheels added to make it fit for the purpose of holding magazines/books.

The attention to detail in this room are second to none. It is not just a room for crafting in, it is a homely feeling room that is a beautiful, inspirational place for working in. I particularly love these little details in the room -

The room is also highly functional with a space for all different resources -

What I love as well with this room is that Maria had a clear plan on how she wanted this room to look and function. She picked out the aspects of that inspiration photo from Pottery Barn that were going to work for her and she put in a great deal of hard work to achieve it. And the 75% finished result…. (yes, Maria says she has not quite finished yet!!)

Wow! I told you it was amazing! I would LOVE a room like this. For now, however, I will just have to make due with my desk in the utility room! Maria thank you SO much for letting us see your amazing craft room and please let us see the 100% finished result. Why not pop over to see lots more inspiration and more photos of this room on Maria's blog - Our Home Away From Home.

I hope this has all given you some inspiration for your own craft rooms - I know it has for me.

Join me next Thursday when it is time for another stamp set review -this time from Uniko Studio.
