I loved the CAS(E) this sketch last week and was honoured to be chosen as a favourite. I feel I am becoming much more confident at taking a sketch and creating a design based on it. I guess this is something that comes with lots of practise.
I am back again with another design for this weeks challenge which is another exciting sketch.
I decided to make the 4 images flowers and since I was needing to make a with sympathy card, this fitted in well. I absolutely adore the poppies in the 'Remember' stamp set from Clearly Besotted and I wanted to do something a bit different with them. I decided to heat emboss them in white on some vellum and fussy cut them out (I realised I hadn't bought the matching dies like I usually do!). The card I used for the base was linen card which is GORGEOUS, and I used a strip of pale grey paper down the side. I heat embossed in white the stock for the poppies on the card base and finished the card off with some silver thread and a tag with the sentiment on.
Since my design is ever so CAS and includes a tag, I am going to also submit this to the Addicted to CAS challenge where the theme is 'Tag.' This is my first time over at Addicted to CAS - Thank you so much to Sandie for suggesting it to me.
Any comments as always, so very much appreciated Laura xx
I love this card!! The vellum of the flowers is so pretty against the gray and white. Subtle yet stunning card!!
